On behalf of the network of Regional Training Providers across Australia, I would like to invite you to participate in the General Practice Training and Education Conference 2015 (GPTEC 2015) to be held at the Hotel Grand Chancellor, Hobart on 26-27 August, 2015.
The conference will bring together over 350 GP registrars, supervisors, prevocational doctors, medical and cultural educators, training provider staff, practice managers, cultural mentors, and other key medical education personnel to share experiences and knowledge, innovation and ideas.
Hobart provides the ideal location for the Conference theme ‘Towards 2020 – enduring success in the new world’ with its blend of heritage, scenery and culture, with world class activities and attractions nearby. It is a destination that will energise, inspire, challenge, focus and connect; the ideal location to discuss the foundations of quality general practice training, vision and creativity, transition and sustainability as we look towards the future of GP training.
The conference theme and sub-themes have been incorporated into a range of plenary sessions, concurrent workshops and paper presentations in conjunction with exciting social functions. A welcome reception will be held at Tasmania’s amazing Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) on 25 August, the evening prior to the conference opening. A gala dinner will be held in the new Macquarie Wharf 2 (MAC2), located in a premium position in the heart of Hobart's waterfront, overlooking the iconic Hobart waterfront precinct against a backdrop of Mount Wellington.
I encourage you to view the conference details on this website, submit an abstract and attend the Conference.
I look forward to seeing you in Hobart at the GPTEC 2015.
